On May 9, 2013, the Mass
Media reported that counterintelligence BIA arrested one of the establishers of
“Russian Obraz” Ilya Goryachev (born in Moscow
on May 30, 1982) in Belgrad.
On May 10, 2013, 31-year old Mikhail Volkov (Ed)
was arrested by the competent authorities of Ukraine. It was previously reported
that Ilya Goryachev, leader of “Russian Obraz”, was arrested in Serbia.
On June 12, the day Russia commemorates its declaration of national
sovereignty in 1990, a general opposition rally in Moscow took place in
the form of a march leaving from Kaluga Square, heading down Bolshaya
Yakimanka Street and ending at Bolotnaya Square. Nationalist activists
were in attendance. Additionally, in the south-east Moscow district of Lublino, another
nationalist march 'For Legitimate Authority and Genuine Sovereignty' was
held on on Pererva Street. The event, organized by Andrei Savelyev's
Great Russia Party, was attended by (according to various estimates)
between 100 and 300 people.
